It’s a music video. It’s a video game. Microsoft wanted to reach a younger audience and get them to download and try Internet Explorer. We created the first-ever gamified music video that was designed to perform best using the latest version of Internet Explorer. Working with Jasmine V to create a concept for her remixed “Just a Friend” single, the video lets you take on the persona of her BFF — and help her discover that her boyfriend’s a cheating ass. The story changes depending on how well you do at a series of embedded, Facebook-customized games. Using Jasmine V’s fanbase we drove traffic to the experience that became the number one worldwide trending topic on Twitter.
