When the powerful features of HTML5 were introduced to the new Internet Explorer, it meant web developers needed to climb a learning curve. So we needed to prove two things to them — that the capabilities were worth learning, and that you could drive a lot of consumer engagement to HTML5 sites. We got YouTube sensation Mike Tompkins — who creates unique mashups of classic pop hits using only his voice — and created a browser-based re-mixer that made it possible to remix Mike’s cover of Katy Perry’s “Firework” in real time. Users created their own versions and shared the experience in social (over 60,000 Facebook Likes worth).
